Astronomer, blogger, and skeptic Phil Plait announced his new project: a new series on the Discovery Channel called Bad Universe. Plait announced the new series on his blog Bad Astronomy, and posted a trailer:
Plait is the author of Bad Astronomy, in which he debunks moon landing hoaxes and other pesudoscience, and Death from the Skies, in which he details the many ways the Earth will be destroyed. The Discovery series will focus more on the ideas in his second book, and his first episode talks about astroid impacts, and how they can be prevented.
